Adventure Week

Adventure week.
This week we had adventure an adventure week where we did loads of different activities inside and outside of school.
On Monday I went surfing in the morning and ice skating in the afternoon. On Tuesday I went into town to do a photography challenge where we had a list of lot's of different things to take photos of, in the afternoon I made 3 roses out of harakeke. On Wednesday I Played 2 games of werewolves. Then, finally on Thursday we went on a whole class trip to jellie park, it was so much fun and I spent most of my time on the Hydro slides.

This is what we did in maths this week. We had to find 3 different ways to show 3 tenths. What could I make better?

Careers

Careers
This term we started learning about careers. I chose to learn about zoologists. First we took a quiz
to find out what careers would be best for us. Then we to narrow our results down by choosing the careers that we didn't like until we only had 1 left and that one would be the career that we study. After that we had to create a presentation about our career. Most people made slides or pamphlets. I made a slide show. Then after that we had a careers expo for the year 6 students. The year 6's could come around to our stools and we would show them our presentation. The expo was super fun and I really enjoyed it.

WINTER SPORT!!!!

Last week we had our first netball game for winter sports. We haven't had our trials yet so we were put into random teams. Our team only played one game that was against Queenspark and sadly we lost
7-4. for the first 2 quarters I played wing A, for the 3rd I played goal keep and in the last I was off. It was really fun and I played against my friend from Dance. I love netball and can't wait until the next game.

Milos

My goals for milos are:
Learn new styles of art, and improve my jazz style.
My goals for leaning: Learn ALL of my times tables and to get better at writing reports.
This morning we rotated around our 3 teachers. My group started the rotation by learning learning Maori and we learnt how to have a conversation.Then we went to drama and played 2 acting games. After we watched the movie Holes and had to count how many times they said the word MY.

My week so far

Over the last week we have done all the usual subjects (literacy and math's) and in literacy we are making pick a path stories and I will be posting mine on my blog when its finished. In math's we are working on times tables and division. I have also been going to singing lessons, drums and office duty.

This MILO time I am going to make up a solo dance to show my friends and my family to the song Bury a Friend by Billie Eilish and maybe work on my unfinished artwork. Last time Sophie and I made up a jazz duo using chairs as props.

For the MILOS (My Independent Learning Options) me and my friend Clara have been working on art and dance. We have got 2 unfinished dances that we hope to finish soon and I have done 1 artwork and am still working on the other.

Ch Ch Library

Christchurch Library

On Tuesday we went on a trip to the Christchurch library. My friends, Clara Milly and Joanna, went straight up the elevator to the top floor the rooftop gardens were very interesting and we had a view of a lot of the city. We spent a while looking around the library and playing on the playground. We looked for books on languages because we are learning to speak Spanish but sadly we couldn't find any. I loved this trip and will definitely go again.

During term one we went on a trip to the art gallery. There were lots
of very inspirational art works. Me and my friends enjoyed ourselves
and we have now started lots of new art works. My favourite piece
was Cats And Dogs. All of the art works were unique and different in
their own way.
